The Chemical Biology Innovation Group (CBIG) of the Department of Chemistry at UC Davis was created to bring together students, postdocs, and faculty interested in research topics in chemical biology broadly defined.  Interaction among CBIG members fosters scientific collaboration between participating research groups and forms the basis for joint efforts (e.g. instrument acquisitions, training grant applications, etc.).

Meetings of CBIG are held twice each quarter during the academic year.

Typically two speakers discuss their research progress in an informal group meeting-like setting.

Upcoming CBIG meetings (tentative schedule):

Jan. 17: Tantillo group, Ames group

Feb. 21: Gervay-Hague group, Meares group

April 24: Toney group, Kurth group

May 22: Franz group, Beal group
