The Chemical Biology Innovation Group (CBIG) of the Department of Chemistry at UC Davis was created to bring together students, postdocs, and faculty interested in research topics in chemical biology broadly defined.  Interaction among CBIG members fosters scientific collaboration between participating research groups and forms the basis for joint efforts (e.g. instrument acquisitions, training grant applications, etc.).

Meetings of CBIG are held twice each quarter during the academic year.

Typically two speakers discuss their research progress in an informal group meeting-like setting.

Schedule of upcoming CBIG meetings for 2008-09:

Oct. 9: Fisher group, Chen group

Nov. 20: Leary group, Shaw group

Jan. 8: David group, Kurth group

March 12: Gervay-Hague group, Ames group

April 16: Beal group, Tantillo group

May 28: Franz group, Toney group

*Each meeting will be held at the University Club from 12-2pm.
