Principal Research Interests
With small molecule X-ray crystallography as the focus, our current program ranges from fullerene chemistry to coordination compounds and bioinorganic chemistry. A central goal is the crystal structure determination of interesting compounds and materials, and, in addition, examination of intermolecular interactions as they are revealed in the solid state. Tools of modern instrumentation are employed such as CCD detectors and ultra low (He cryostat, ~ 10K) temperatures in order to extract the maximum amount of information from the diffraction experiment.
